Pricing
The analysis is free. The PDF costs money. This page says where that line falls, what a purchase gets you, and how long the file stays available.
Free, with no account and no payment
Run a sample deal, or type in your own. There is no sign-up, and nothing on the screen is held back. You see:
- The rule-based label the deal gets, and the reasons for it
- Every guardrail tested, whether it is met, and how far the deal sits from each bar
- The purchase metrics and the year-by-year pro forma
- What would have to change, when one to three guardrails aren't met
- Market scenarios, when you turn that option on for the run
- The definitions and the provenance behind every number
There is no daily cap and no trial period. The service limits how many analyses it runs at once, so that it keeps answering for everyone.
What costs money
One thing is paid: the PDF of a run. It carries the verdict, guardrails, purchase metrics, what would have to change, the pro forma, definitions and provenance, laid out for print and for handing to someone else.
One report
CA$2.50
One PDF, made from the run you are looking at when you pay. To change the numbers, run the deal again and buy that run.
Taxes: We're not GST/HST-registered, so no tax is charged at checkout (small-supplier threshold).
Before you pay
- Your purchase is linked to the browser you paid in by a cookie. If you clear cookies, close a private window, or switch devices, you lose access, and a payment number alone can't restore it. We can't re-send a file to a browser that no longer holds the cookie; if the report was never downloaded, that is a refund.
- The PDF is stored privately for 24 hours, counted from when your purchase completes. When that window ends, access ends immediately; an automated cleanup deletes the file soon after, though not always at the exact second.
- Each download link works for 60 seconds after it is made. A new link can be requested until the 24-hour window closes.
- A one-off purchase needs no account and no sign-in. The checkout form asks for an email address, because our payment processor needs one to confirm a payment; depending on your payment method, it may also ask for a billing name, country or postal code. All of it goes to our payment processor, not to us.
Refunds
A refund is for one thing: our system not getting you the report you paid for. If a report fails to produce, we retry the same report at no extra charge; if the download never worked, we refund the purchase. To ask for one, write to support@proofthedeal.com. Our delivery record shows whether the whole file was sent, so you never have to prove that it wasn't, and anything short of the complete file counts as not delivered. Where the record shows the complete file was sent, we don't refund a change of mind; if it was sent and the report still wasn't usable, tell us what happened and we'll look into it. Once a refund is issued or a payment is disputed, downloads from that purchase stop; a file you already downloaded can't be taken back. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that can't be limited.
What the report is not
The report describes what your numbers do under fixed rules. It is not financial or investment advice, and it isn't an appraisal. The rules don't know you or your situation, and every result depends on the numbers you entered.
